Hey guys, Posting this question once more – it doesn’t seem to be showing up, so hopefully they won’t all show up at once. I’m about 18 months into my career in consulting out of undergrad (from a non-Ivey target school), trying to switch to finance. During college, I took a year and a half off of school to pay for tuition (I tutored kids full time, so it’s not something I can write about in my resume). I then graduated in December 2013 (as opposed to May 2012, when I was supposed to graduate). I began working a month later at a second tier consulting shop. Consequently, I have an awkward gap in my employment history, as below: Current consulting job: Feb. 2014 – current Junior year consulting internship: Jun-Aug 2011 Sophomore year VC internship: Jun-Aug 2010 Is there anyway to either 1) cover up this gap, or 2) spin it as a positive? Is it enough to knock me out of the pile? Thanks for all your help. Love the blog, always great content on here.
